We are a preservation-based economic and community development program that follows the National Main Street Center’s Main Street Approach™ to facilitate programs and resources to help revitalization efforts for the town of Cape Charles.

The Eastern Shore Association of REALTORS® (ESAR) was established in 1989. ESAR currently has over 200 REALTOR® members and over 40 affiliate business members, who consist of sales agents, brokers, property managers, appraisers and others engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry. ESAR’s geographic region includes Accomack and Northampton counties on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We provide a variety of services including educational opportunities, professional standards enforcement, market statistics, multiple listing and lockbox services and more. Our mission is to promote the professionalism and elevate the business of members through education, tools and resources and to ensure that REALTOR® ethics and property rights are protected.

The mission of ESCADV is to provide support and empowermnet to victims of domestic and sexual abuse and to provide programs that increase awareness and prevention in the community.

The Eastern Shore Public Library Foundation was established in 2009 specifically to raise funds for the Eastern Shore of Virginia Library System. In 2015, the Foundation committed to raising the funds to establish a new regional library and heritage center, which documents the unique history and culture of Virginia's Eastern Shore. The Foundation raised $4,950,000 of the $5,300,000 needed to complete the new Regional Public Library at 23414 Bennett Street in Parksley. The new Regional Library opened in August 2023.
After completion of the new facility, the Foundation continues to raise funds for the needs of the Eastern Shore Libary system consisting of the Regional Public Library in Parksley, the Cape Charles Memorial Library, the Chincoteage Island Library, and the Northampton Free Library in Nassawadox

OMS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Onancock with a focus on initiatives promoting revitalization through historic preservation, local economic development, and aesthetic enhancements consistent with the town's unique character. OMS is a designated Virginia Main Street and National Main Street America™ Accredited program.
