MISSIOn

The mission of the Barrier Islands Center (BIC) is to preserve and perpetuate the unique culture and history of Virginia’s Barrier Islands through education and the collection and interpretation of artifacts. 

Document transcription services, converting handwriting and print to digital text. Offering transcription of letters, diaries, journals, newspapers, historical records, and manuscripts. Copy-typing services for businesses or individuals.

Stationery retail shop located at the Historic Onancock School, Studio 101. Letter writing supplies, including, paper, envelopes, notecards, wax seals, pencils, calligraphy pens and ink.

Our company, founded in 1989, is a growing 2^nd generation local-family-owned Eastern Shore business which provides plumbing and electrical service to residential and light commercial clients from Salisbury, MD., to Cape Charles, VA.  We operate a fleet of 8 service vehicles and also offer 24-hour Emergency Service.
